This is a horror book about a boy named Joey and his adopted parents. he doesn't know they're adopted until there are blood samples taken. His parents-both of them-died in frak accidents, or were they really accidents? (bum, bum bummm!)
Joey finds out that later int he book, something is wrong with him. He keeps having these strange urges to go outside and kill living things. already he has snuck down to the refrigorator late at night and ate raw steaks. Wanting to find the truth, he sets out into the forest and soon comes apon a dead body of a man-an investiagtor. That's when he feels his blood begint o stir. He can [i[smell[/i] the blood from the dead cropse.
Running away from it, he comes upon a cabin, and sees a wolf. There everything fades out and when he wakes up, hes in the cabin on a bed. Confused, he goes looking for Storm-he dog. Storm finds him, and the wolf. Storm does snot like the wolf.
Later, joey's godmother, finds out about a Shane Slayter who escaped a mental istitution after going to jail and willing getting blood samples of a wolf injected into him. Shane Slayter is Joey's real father, so what will happen to Joey. In his blood, courses the blood cells of a wolf. Making him a werewolf? Or a freak of nature?

If you're going to read this, I suggest you be AT LEAST 15-16 years old. My mom gave it to me-and I'm only 13, but she seemed to think it was okay. It was one of her adult books that she had already read. She only lets me read certain ones, though a few, she said she'd rather me wait until I'm a little older-like this one she got at the hospital. I'd follow her warnings. And mine.
It's a really good book though, if you don't mind the beginning being rather boring, bloody-gore, and a small half a page sexual theme in there. That's what i was warning you about! But both of them die-so it doesn't matter. Just warnign you-and its in Shane's POV at the time.
